Honeymoon in Thailand (part I)

Sometimes planning a honeymoon can be just as frustrating as planning the actual wedding. Especially when you're already avid travelers and your bucket list is 10 miles long. We both wanted a place that was relaxing (again, wedding planning is frustrating!) with a little bit of adventure. The end result - Koh Lanta, Thailand.

The idea actually came from Design Love Fest when she visited the same island. My gut just said "google it" and we found and settled on the Pimalai Resort & Spa

We booked for the first 2 weeks in December - 2 months after our wedding - mainly to give ourselves one less thing to worry about come wedding time and to go during Thailand's peak holiday season. The resort is amazing. We recommend it to anyone thinking to go to Thailand and want to experience something more secluded compared to Phuket.

We did everything the resort offered - Thai cooking classes (I'm still craving those dishes), hiking and elephant trekking (future post), snorkeling, yoga, massages, paddle boarding, and then nothing. Absolutely nothing and it was perfect.
