A Girl and Her Tiny Pumpkin
/It’s Fall y’all! Well, for us anyways. Weather is starting to cool down here in NJ and we’re trying to soak in all the fall things early just in case baby Jack decides to arrive sooner than planned (we’re due in 4-5 weeks 😬).
So, we decided to pack up our camera and take Ellie to a Harvest Festival for pumpkin picking 🎃, apple cider donuts 🍎🍩, and games. My mom was also visiting for a few days so we wanted to make her visit special since it’ll be her last one with just Ellie.
We went to Heaven Hill Farm in Vernon, NJ (Northern NJ). They hold the biggest Harvest Festival in NJ and this is the second year we’ve gone. The only big difference this year (the year of Covid) is that they cancelled their carnival rides, but they have a lot of other fun activities available—including hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze, carnival-style games, farm animals, and more. I personally loved the ice cream and donuts, Ellie loved the rubber ducky racing station.
As with most things this year, you have to reserve tickets in advance so they can control crowds—so go early if you’re in the Northern NJ area!

This is honestly my new favorite picture of us 😂I’m sure I’ll be seeing this face A LOT as she grows up! Also, out of ALL the pumpkins, she only wanted this tiny one and carried it EVERYWHERE!
See? The duck racing was a hit! And I’m pretty sure it’s out most of the year.
Look out for more of our Fall activities as we try to cram as many into our lives before we go into our newborn bubble next month!
Happy Fall!
