Surprise! We're Moving!

See? I’ve been a little MIA for a reason and my cryptic notes on Instagram had a point—we’re busy preparing for our next move! Before family and friends ask, no, we’re not moving back to Virginia (I’m sorry). We decided it was best for our family to officially put roots down in Northern New Jersey (even though we’ve been here for over 7 years now) and find a bigger place for us to grow into—and we found it a lot sooner than planned. In fact, we weren’t even seriously looking until we stumbled upon it. (Yea, we’re those weird people who go to open houses when we have nothing planned on a weekend 💁🏻‍♀️).

And just look at it… who wouldn’t fall in love at first sight? Look at that porch!

I will say that this move is very bittersweet for me. No matter how much I love the new house and the potential it will bring our family, I’m sad to leave our starter home. We watched it be built from the ground up and put so much of ourselves into it over the years. It was also our first big purchase together, it was Ellis’ first home, and we met some of the best neighbors here. So yea… bittersweet.

On a good note, we don’t plan to leave our townhome completely. It is up for rent! So, if you or someone you know is looking to rent in the Bergen County area, hit me up and I can send you more details. It’s about 35 minutes from NYC by train or bus, it’s in a great neighborhood/town, and you’ll have pretty chill landlords… just saying! I’m adding some pictures below too… simply because it will probably never look this clean again and I want a reason to share! 😉

Our Rental in Bergen County, NJ (Hit me up if you want more details!)

Seriously, know anyone who might be interested, let me know and I can give you the deets! We love this house and want people who will love it too.

I’ll share more updates on the new house as we get closer to moving, but until then, any tips on how to pack while still keeping your place “pretty” for tenant showings would be greatly appreciated!
